Full Disclosure: I didn't take this picture. Mr. Beeeeeeem did!
We had a most awesome Sunday. We took a trip to the 651 Farmers' Market. Ragazz' had never been there, and he was digging it. We picked up all sorts of tasty stuff, some of which became dinner. Then it was super-favorite-sports-on-TV day. We watched the Twins win (it went down to the wire), and the Wild win (in overtime). Then the Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeems came over for dinner and social hour on the driveway, and that was the best part.
Oh! I have to write down this dinner thing so I don't forget it. We bought garlic-basil fettuccine at the market. I baked two chicken breasts (olive oil, salt, pepper), and cut them into chunks. Then I made a cream sauce without heavy cream (since I didn't have any - and substituted 3/4 cup of milk and 1/3 cup butter), a little more butter (1 tbl), 1 tsp+ flour, 2 oz. cream cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, oregano, basil. I could have added garlic.. but I didn't want it to overpower the flavor in the noodles. I cooked the pasta and served it with the chopped chicken and cream sauce over it. We all practically licked the plates clean. Heh. I made broccoli and there was Vienna white bread from the market as well. Then we had strawberry rhubarb pie with Cool WHip for dessert. Om nom nom. Seriously, the best Sunday dinner in a while.
This is going to be a hella-busy week. The alarm went off and all I could say was "Help me get through all this." Sometimes the simplest prayers are the best.
Have a great week!
