Working from home is the greatest. If I have to work, that's the way I'd like to be able to do it. Alas.. that's not in the cards for me right now. It's hard to manage and office and assist someone if you aren't physically there to do so. Le sigh.
Today I dragged my sad face out of bed at 3:45 and got to work by just moments after 5AM. I accomplished my stated goal, which was to beat the rush hour traffic. The freeway wasn't too bad, either. Then I got into Downtown St. Paul.
Let me tell you something about the way St. Paul plows their streets. Or rather, the way they DON'T plow them. I swear, they must send their plow drivers out to just joy-ride around and never, ever put the blades down on the pavement. And it will be like this all. winter. long. Sheesh.
Because I got here early and have been so ultra-efficient, I am going to leave a little after 1:00, thus being rush hour traffic on the other end of the workday, too.
Two weeks from today we'll be on a plane to the warm weather. Not that I'm counting.
Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy is to have the real spirit of Christmas.
