41/365 Ice on the window.. here comes the storm.

FRIDAY:
Worked in the AM, then had lunch and therapeutic shopping with the niecerator.
Then some lazy time in the evening.

SATURDAY:
Up early to send the boy off to the races. Splash class with a sub who may have been a drill sergeant in a previous lifetime. Holy Hannah, it hurts so good. Or bad. Ow.
Procured all food for the next week. Started the laundry tasks.
Found a WAY cool yarn store that's been hiding nearby. Yay, because I lost my favorite yarn store in St. Paul in December. I had some bonding and chatting time with the owner. This store does Mother Bear project work, has Friday afternoon knitting (2-5, perfect time for a little wind-down), a fireplace and a Keurig. It's a cozy place. WIN!
Had popovers and stew ready for the boy when he came home. Then he watched MORE racing on the teevee (can there ever be too much racing, really?), while I snored in the big chair.

SUNDAY:
The picture up there says it all. We woke up to ice pellets falling out of the sky. Then there were some big flakes, and now it's icing/sleeting/snowing and just generally unpleasant out there. I'm glad that we don't have to leave the house today. I'm sad that there won't be any Downton Abbey dinner tonight (I don't want those girls driving in this).
The work girls and I are going to touch base later this afternoon and decide on tomorrow's plan. Are we going in late, or not at all? Either one of those is okay with me... I just know that there's no way I'm going out there at 0'dark-thirty tomorrow morning.
The next part of my plan involves throwing some ingredients in the crockpot which will magically turn into Ranch Chicken later. Let it snow, man.
