This picture *isn't* black and white. Wild, huh? Some days there just isn't a lot of color out there.
Another day, another day. February is like that. The days run into each other and then all of a sudden it's March. Note to self: Maybe we should plan a little trip for next February.

When I get up at 0'dark-thirty in the morning and wander out into the kitchen (to pour a cup of coffee that's ready and waiting for me, because ragazz' set the timer the night before.. awww.), I can count on the fact that our backyard neighbors will be awake too. They work the crazy hours, but the difference is that their house is always dark by 8:30pm or so. Because they're smart and go to bed early. Fools!

Anyway.. I got up this morning, and it was still dark back there. What? Where are they? It kinda made me feel a little lonely. Why aren't they up yet? Then my over-active imagination takes over. Maybe they moved out in the middle of the night. Maybe they've been abducted...by ALIENS! Maybe they're all dead back there! (Notice how, never once, do I assume that maybe they just have the day off. Because that doesn't make for as good a story.)

I just took another look. All the lights are on back there. *whew* But now.. WHY DID THEY SLEEP IN? Is someone ill? Do they have a different schedule? Are their alarm clocks broken? (No, I don't assume that the answer is "Just because.")

There ya have it. A little glimpse into the early-morning chele brain. It's kinda like being in the house of mirrors at the fair, isn't it? Scary, yet fun!

Andiamo.
