It's pretty funny that I've become the defacto designer of things at work. "Can you make a logo for..", "We need a card that says..", "This needs to be made prettier and more fun..." I love doing that stuff! And it always kinda surprises me - it usually looks pretty good.
So I did a bunch of that yesterday, and then it was time for Tuesday splash class, which I hadn't been to in a couple of weeks. That teacher is good, but deadly for the arms. Ow. And she had us doing weird "frog jumps" across the length of the pool. Twice. My stomach muscles will thank her for that, after they stop killing me.
I've been completely fascinated by the conclave electing the new Pope. No matter which church I belong to, no matter how long it's been, there's always part of the Catholic church that gets carried around in my head. I will always love the "smells and bells" and the pageantry and tradition. It would be wonderful if the college of cardinals would elect a younger, more progressive and unifying leader for the church. My dark horse candidate is Cardinal Timothy Dolan from New York.. but I don't think the vatican is quite ready for that yet.
Ack! it's time to go to work RIGHT NOW!
