80/365 Cheese Bread... It's a thing of beauty.

The big bad meeting was big, but not bad. I was still pretty glad when it was done, though. *whew* I got home and needed to spin down, so I made cheese bread. Since I can't resist playing with and tweaking recipes (and sometimes because, indeed, necessity is the mother of invention).. I discovered that this bread can be made without eggs. How did I discover this? Because I had all of the dry ingredients mixed and then discovered that there were no eggs in the fridge. ooops.  So just in case you want to know.. you can replace eggs in this recipe by adding:
1-1/2 tablespoons water
1-1/2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
-for each egg that is called for.
Added benefit - because the recipe already called for a teaspoon of baking powder, adding the extra made the bread a little less dense. It didn't effect the flavor one bit. I call this a win.

We had spaghetti for dinner. Because we're trying to be all  healthy and shit, we've switched to whole wheat pasta. Mmm. It's got a better bite to it. I think it tastes richer, too, although ragazz' hasn't mentioned that.

So yes. It's all about the food right now. And that's why the kitchen is my happy place. All the other stressy stuff goes away when I'm in there.
