110/365

Look how it's been two days in a row since I posted. Whoops. I had an excuse yesterday. I got up dreading the awful commute to the office.. and I knew that I *had* to go in, because we were having a Big Meeting™ that was mandatory.

SO. I duly got up at 4:15, shook my fist and cursed the weather gods, fired up the computer... and noticed an email that our Board Chair sent at 12:30 AM saying that he was calling an audible and turning the meeting into a conference call. Hoooooray for responsible leadership! So at that exact moment I had to swing into action and notify participants and send out materials and and and and and. Translation - I started working at 4:30 AM and worked straight through until almost noon. Yowza.

There were multiple naps taken in the afternoon, and ragazz' raced last night. I was going to go to the club, but the news junkie in me got sucked into the coverage of the manhunt for the Marathon Bomber. I watched for about 4 hours, 'til they captured him. Then to celebrate I baked Peanut Butter cookies. When I posted that on Facebook it quickly devolved into a hilarious mess that resulted in my taking the picture posted here. USA! USA! Best quote from it (from my girl Freakgirl/Molotov Cupcake in Jersey): "These cookies taste like freedom!"

Lord, lord.. how I love my innernet friends. ♥

And did I mention that we had TEN FRICKEN INCHES OF SNOW ON THURSDAY?

109/365 It's April. APRIL. APRIL 18th. He is using the snowblower on April 18th. I am weeping.

This was taken Thursday late afternoon when he did the first round of snowblowing. There was that and more when he cleared it off again on Friday morning.

I hate this place. There. I said it. When we get old we are moving to California, even if we have to live in a trailer. The fact that I'm looking out my kitchen window on April 20th and it looks exactly like it did on January 20th  is just SAD AND WRONG. Ugh.

I am off to the splashing class soon. Tonight we're going to a fun-sounding "Taste of..." event being put on by my alma mater. Between those two events I suppose I should go to the grocery store.

THERE. All caught up now.
