The last day of vacation was beautiful, if a bit chilly. I can't believe that, on June 2nd, we were thinking about how many layers we needed to wear. We had grilled burgers at KB and MB's house, and then ragazz' fixed their bikes. He's so clever and mechanical, that boy of mine.
We spent some time wandering around in the basement, trying to picture where walls should be built, then I tried to go to sleep. And tried and tried and tried. It was probably the anticipation of having to wake up early that kept me from sleeping soundly. I feel like I got about 60 non-consecutive minutes of shut eye. I know that probably isn't the case, but it sure feels like it. And the Macrobid is doing a number on my tummy, so the little coffee that I did have isn't sitting well. Ack. This doesn't bode well for the first day back.
BUT! It's time to put some routine back into the days. My goal, though, is to feel like EVERY day is vacation.. and the few hours that I spend at work are just a mere distraction. Because, really, that's the way life should be.
