Summer - the time of the MANY THINGS.

Friday night - we had a bonfire and learned of the joy that is peanut butter cups on s'mores. Also: wine. Lots and lots of wine.

Saturday - we headed up to Hayward to hang out with our friends and their four amazing doggies. We went to the original Famous Dave's for dinner, and played so many rounds of Cards Against Humanity that I lost count.

Sunday - We got home, took a gigantic nap (and woke up with a big sleep hangover), and went to the Blue Door for burgers. Peanut butter on a burger? Yes please. Always have that.

Monday - there was supposed to be the apocalyptic winds and thunderstorms and OMG stay sky aware and get out the lanterns and blankets. Except, there was none of that here. It was just ridiculously hot and we pulled all the outside furniture in for no reason at all.

And now for the rest of the week - all of my outside flower baskets are done. Either too much water or not enough water and, really, it's not realistic to expect them to last for a whole season. So it's time to replace a few of those.
We're going to a birthday party on Saturday! Mmm. German food.
I need to find some time to finish up all the laundry that I didn't do over the weekend. Note to self: get back on that "load a day" regime. That was a good plan.
I'm dragging my feet to slow summer down. I don't want it to get away from me.
