There's the nekked, tilted tree.. all un-decorated and waiting to go downstairs. Bye, tree. See you in November.
I spent eleventy hours in the kitchen over the weekend, and all manner of tasty things issued forth. (Wow. I sound just like those Downton Abbey people.) Saturday we had pulled pork on homemade rolls, and sauteed corn, baked beans and chocolate cake. Sunday we had spaghetti with meatballs and a loaf of homemade bread. I lost track of how many times I ran the dishwasher. 3? 4? I just know that what's in there right now is clean, so I've gotta put them away later.
All the Christmas decorations, inside and out, came down yesterday. When ragazz' takes the tree downstairs it's going to look really empty in here.
There were four squealing girls in here last night, watching Downton Abbey. Poor ragazz'... he just hid in the RC car lab. Such a great show! I can't wait for the rest of the season.
All the other stuff going on this weekend meant no splashing.. but in my head I'm okay with that. I'll get back at it tonight (My leg and hand will thank me for those extra days' rest).
So here we go again, back at it for another week.
