26/365 Medicine and Chocolate

We ventured out just once, before the snow started falling, to get the necessities (COFFEE), then settled back in for the rest of the day. It was a nice, quiet day followed by a nice, quiet evening.. but ragazz' didn't feel quite like himself, and didn't really want to eat.

Then that big, mean flu got him. Poor guy. At least it was just one gigantic episode, then he fell asleep pretty quickly.

I debated staying home again today.. but I just took a vacation day on Friday and the guilts set in. So I dutifully set the alarm and prayed that the plow drivers would do their thing overnight. I woke up just before the alarm and made sure the boy was sleeping comfortably. As I walked into the kitchen I saw two plows go up and down the street. Even though it's foggy as hell out there, the roads will be clear.

Then I saw the email from my boss "I'll be in late morning." Sigh.

Well, now I'm UP and caffeinated. I might as well go in for a while, anyway. This way I'll feel less guilty if I want to go home early and take care of the sick one. And here comes the salting/sanding truck. No excuse not to go now.
