Awww.. A love note on the counter for me. ♥
TODAY. The day I've been waiting for (and dreading) since December. Our schools at the Capitol! *represent* *holla* *etc.*
There were a couple of last minute wrenches thrown at me.. but hey, I just roll with it. Like I said yesterday.. I'm pretty much a passenger now. Whatever's gonna happen will happen and we'll just deal with it. It's not rocket science. And at 3:30 or so I won't have to think about it for 10 whole months!
I got a nice compliment from the state facilities people.. they're using my plan paperwork and timelines as a guide for others who are holding events there. Ha! All those years of planning construction and moves paid off, because now I'm going to be famous. Double Ha!
Most times I feel like there can never be enough planning and organizing for stuff like this. Then I hear stories from the movers about how they arrived onsite for a move and instead of labeling the cubes, the person in charge just put glitter on top of the cube walls to mark them (really?), or the ones that had no floorplan maps posted (or just scribbled one on a post-it).. Or stories about how groups arrive for events and just stand there, like some miracle is going to happen and chairs and a stage will magically appear.
Ack. I get anxiety just writing stuff like that. Plan. Always plan.
Anyway...
I made spaghetti carbonara for dinner last night.. always a favorite, but the eggs start to scramble every time. Oh well. It's comfort food.. it doesn't have to be picture perfect. Some things I don't over-plan. You have to just let spaghetti happen.
